- CASN updates 14th March The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) issued a statement today announcing funding to develop a companion program for IENs that will facilitate the training of experienced nurses to mentor IEN nursing mentees during their transition into the Canadian healthcare workforce. CASN has an updated 2025 code of Ethics and IEN information. If you received your education outside of Canada, you may meet many of the basic requirements to work in Canada or you may need to have these assessed or supplemented.
